We are the Student Committee for Change Ambassadors, committed to shaping the ethos of the School through listening to the views of others and taking action to lead initiatives across all areas of diversity so that every student in the School knows that they belong, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability or any other aspect of diversity.
The goal of the Committee is to enable students at all levels to significantly enhance the school community and benefit all. We will encourage your voices and ideas to be heard, bringing about change to our community for the better.
Much of the most challenging work today is undertaken in groups, harnessing a more rounded, holistic perspective that sees diversity as the critical ingredient.
Solutions to complex problems rely on multiple layers of insight and therefore require multiple points of view.
The Student Committee for Change is a team of perspectives that challenge, augment, diverge and cross -pollinate. When you are surrounded by similar people you are likely to share each other’s points of view and, to bring about positive change, we need insights offered from experiences that are different from our own.
We need cognitive diversity.
